Uniform
The Belvidere uniform is an important part of belonging to a House and to our whole school community. Our pupils are ambassadors of the school and are expected to dress and behave in a way that reflects the standards we seek to achieve. It is vital that our students portray our school in the best possible light in the local community. Equally, we want our students to take pride in their own appearance, preparing them for their post-16 careers after their Belvidere journey.
We appreciate parents’ and carers’ support in providing correct uniform and in ensuring that students come to school looking smart and ready to work. If there is a temporary issue with uniform, please inform reception promptly.
All staff monitor uniform closely and you will be contacted by your child’s Head of Year or by the Assistant Headteacher if there is a persistent issue with your child’s uniform.

If make-up is not discreet students will be asked to remove it and will lose this privilege if they persistently turn up with inappropriate make-up. Nail varnish is not allowed for any year group. False eyelashes and false nails of any type are not allowed. If make-up is to be worn for medical reasons, a note must be provided.
