Reintegration and Alternative Provision Lead
Overview
To provide strategic and operational leadership of the Belvidere Bridge provision, ensuring a high-quality, inclusive alternative setting that secures strong outcomes for pupils, particularly those with SEND and SEMH needs.
The role combines strategic development, implementation and quality assurance, with accountability for the effectiveness of provision, including teaching, behaviour, attendance and reintegration.
The post holder will lead and develop staff, ensuring that practice is consistent, evidence-informed and aligned with statutory requirements, Trust expectations and whole-school priorities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic development and daily operation of the provision
- Translate strategic priorities into clear systems, routines and practice
- Ensure alignment with whole-school and Trust priorities
- Oversee safeguarding, compliance and the delivery of a safe, high-quality provision
- Monitor and improve attendance, including strategies for persistent absence and EBSA
- Design and implement a bespoke curriculum to support engagement and transition
- Establish and lead robust quality assurance systems for teaching, behaviour and outcomes
- Use data and insight to evaluate impact and drive continuous improvement
- Line manage, coach and develop staff, fostering a strong and accountable team culture
- Lead high-quality teaching, behaviour systems and trauma-informed practice
- Build strong relationships with families and external agencies to secure positive outcomes
- Lead reintegration pathways and collaborate across the school and Trust to support inclusion

Qualifications
Essential
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree or equivalent
Desirable
- SEND or SEMH-related qualifications
- Leadership or NPQ qualification
Experience
Essential
- Experience of teaching pupils with SEND and/or SEMH needs
- Experience of managing behaviour effectively in a school setting
- Experience of adapting curriculum and teaching for vulnerable learners
Desirable
- Experience working in alternative provision or similar setting
- Experience of leading a team or area of provision
- Experience of reintegration planning
Knowledge & Understanding
Essential
- Understanding of SEND, SEMH and trauma-informed practice
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies
