Helping students build strong revision habits – every day!
At Belvidere, we’re starting a Revision Revolution to help all students become confident and independent learners. This means teaching them what revision is, how to do it well and which methods actually work.
📚 What’s Happening in School? Students will learn revision techniques regularly through:
- Lessons
- Homework
- Tutor time
- Assemblies
We’re breaking revision down into small, manageable chunks, so no one feels overwhelmed. This allows plenty of time for students to practise and build their skills slowly and steadily.
👪 How You Can Help at Home. We’ll be tracking how students improve their revision skills at school. At home, your support makes a big difference! Please use our Parent/Carer Guide to Effective Revision to help your child stay on track and build great study habits.
🔬 What Does the Research Say? There’s no one-size-fits-all method for revision. Everyone learns differently and the internet is full of advice — some helpful, some not. To keep things simple and effective, we’re focusing on three proven techniques:
✅ Flash Cards
✅ Self-Quizzing
✅ Brain Dumps
🎯 Our Goal: Make Revision a Daily Habit. We don’t want students to wait until just before exams to revise. We’re building the habit of:
✨ Revising every day in an active way! ✨
With support from home and school, we can help students feel confident, prepared and ready to succeed!
Together, let’s make revision a routine that works!
